radTherm® Controls: D-Basic and DSM Thermostats

Every radTherm® radiator is fitted with a built-in thermostat, so you’re never buying just a heater, you’re buying a complete control system reliably engineered to work with it. Across the range, two controls cover the vast majority of installations: the D-Basic and the DSM. Both come with an industry-leading 5-year manufacturer warranty.

D-Basic-Thermostat

The D-Basic is built for straightforward, no-fuss operation. Two buttons control every function directly on the unit. It is controlled completely intuitively. The ‘PLUS’ button increases the temperature by 1°C and the ‘MINUS’ button decreases it. It’s that simple.

For all other settings and programming, you can use the free radTherm® app. To do this, you need to connect the heater to the Wi-Fi (no additional devices required) and then add the device to the app. Thanks to Bluetooth Connect, this is also super easy. The ‘D-Basic’ thermostats are compatible with all ‘smart’ devices and use the same app.

Best for: customers who want reliable, set-and-forget heating with or without an app or a learning curve.

DSM Thermostat

The DSM is the smart option: internet-enabled control with full remote access. Connect via Wi-Fi and manage temperature, schedules and modes from an app on your phone or tablet from anywhere. Integrated thermostat with just four buttons for easy operation of the heater directly on the unit. Programming and access to user menus can all be configured on the radiator if users prefer manual configuration rather than by using the radTherm® App.

It supports full 24/7 weekly programming with adaptive start (so the room reaches temperature exactly when needed, not before), plus Comfort, Economy and Anti-Freeze presets for different times of day or periods away. Voice control is built in too, with Amazon Alexa and Google Home integration for hands-free adjustments.

We get that no everyone likes to use an App, so the DSM Thermostat enables full programming control ‘on radiator’ without the need for an App. For those that do want full remote connectivity, this can also be achieved with the radTherm® App and is compatible with all smart devices.
